Sweet Celebrations – Sneak Peak

I’m so excited to share with you all the pictures that were sent to me yesterday! I’m finally allowed to give you just a sneak peak of my quilt in the upcoming Moda Bakeshop Book, Sweet Celebrations. The book is not due out until October, but in publishing time that will be here before you know it!

Isn’t the cover of the book gorgeous?! It almost makes me want to bake.

And here’s a peak at some of the fabulous projects that will be in the book. Everything has been designed to be made Bakeshop style…aka…with precuts. It is definitely looking drool worthy!

And then…. I finally got to see what they did with my quilt design! My “celebration” was Christmas and I designed a quilt just perfect for the holidays. The staging on this picture is so fun and I’m really excited to see the high quality version of it in the book!

I’m not sure what the quilt is titled in the book, but I ingeniously titled it the “Ho! Ho! Ho! quilt”. Sometimes my cleverness knows no bounds. 😉

The quilt is made from Fat Quarters that I mixed and matched from various Moda lines and then three different color neutral layer cakes. Oh and I rather crazily pebble quilted this whole thing. Lots of bobbins people. Lots of bobbins!

I’m really happy with how they photographed the quilt. It has that simple yet comfortable aesthetic that I could envision for it. I sort of want to just climb into that bed and snuggle under the covers. But I’ll just have to wait until I get the quilt back before I do that.
