I’m so thankful

I have a lot to be thankful for as I approach Thanksgiving and the End of the Year.  But today I want to focus on the generosity of Kirsten, Threedancingmagpies, and her pillow and gifts to me.  You can see for yourself what an amazing package she created for me!

The other day, I received a HUGE box in the mail.  I don’t care how old I get, I think it will always be exciting to receive a huge brown box in the mail.  It was filled with wrapped packages!

I'm so thankful

I didn’t know where to begin (well after the card) and slowly started unwrapping things.  I’m pretty sure I was already teary eyed.  I knew that this was my pillow talk swap package and I was in for a ride.

The first things I saw were two new skeins of cashmerino yarn and a bundle of Kei Polka dots.  Right off the bat I was already overwhelmed with her generosity.

I'm so thankful

One package was labeled “a little HR”.  A total understatement for what was in there!  A full yard of this gorgeous hard to find gold fish fabric and some adorable pins by Christine.  I’ve wanted both forever!  I was definitely crying at this point.

I'm so thankful

And then there was a package labeled “from your ISO list”.  Uhm?! Are you kidding me?!  I was completely blown away.  This is beyond generosity.  One of my friends saw this pic and said it was a tribute to gods of fabrics.  lol

I'm so thankful

Oh and wait…remember that this was a PILLOW swap?  I haven’t even gotten to the pillow yet!  And let me  tell you.  it did not disappoint.  I love everything about it…from the text fabric, to the original Flea Market fancy prints that I have not a single scrap of!, to the tape measure fabric and of course that gorgeous whimsical and patchwork design.

I'm so thankful

Those photos are all from real time because I made myself wait and take a photo with each step.  I still can’t believe I could have the discipline to do it.  But it was a good thing to do because each item needed to be thoroughly processed and enjoyed.

Thank you so much Kirsten!  You outdid yourself in generosity!!  I am truly thankful and think I was the luckiest person in the whole swap.

I'm so thankful

Now I need to go hang out with these guys for a while….

I'm so thankful

  1. Wow, that's such an awesome gift/swap from a really nice person. Can you tell me more about the pins? Are they from a shop? I'm always looking for fun pins.

  2. Wow! I am speechless. Hats off to your partner for an amazing gift. I'm so grateful for you that you received such a beautiful package since you gave so much of yourself in that swap yourself. She really knew how to knock your socks off.

  3. As my two kindergarten kids say . . . you filled my bucket! so glad you like it! You always knock your self out when you do a swap and you so deserve to have someone make you feel special, so glad my mission was accomplished!
