I’ve been a little giddy lately because I think in the last month I’ve really seen a bunch of people begin to use patterns for things I’ve designed. I’m a big nerd so it makes me really excited to see what you all are doing and how you tackle the patterns. A big reason more of my patterns are being used is because of the Modern Blocks Book. It helps when you have a ridiculous number of blocks in one book…I was nuts!
But to show off you guys a little bit:
There are a couple of bees that I know of right now based on the 99 Modern Blocks Book. The Modern Minx Beginner Bee is one of them.
They will be selecting various blocks from the book but I’m having so much fun seeing the variations of a few of my blocks that they have tackled already.
I adore the colors that Debtrail used in her version of the Envy block!
And look at the sweet yellow center of Amelie’s Whirlygiggles Envy block… yay for Hope Valley.
Awe…I’m just a sucker for the yellow Hope Valley prints. I think MissLisbeth did a great job with this one as well.
There are bunches more fabulous Envy blocks that I’m “envious” of (couldn’t resist!) but you all can go to the group and check them out!
Although, one last Envy block I squealed over…Lee made one from my beloved Joel Dewberry’s Modern Meadow fabrics. I love.
Stargazing is another pattern that I have seen used quite a bit…it’s got a mix of precision and wonkiness that I love. Look at these beauties that Shecanquilt made! Don’t you just love the fussy cut centers?!
And I must be in a yellow mood because this version by Rachel, Stitched in Color, is probably my favorite! (they’re all my favorites…who am I kidding?) I love the yellow and blue combo. If you’ve been around here a bit that doesn’t surprise you in the least.
Now I may have squealed out loud with glee when I saw that another bee, The 99, (love that group name by the way!) was doing my It’s a Stretch pattern! I know I say this about all of them, but I really think that one’s my favorite. lol This is one that I really wanted to turn into a quilt myself but just have not had the time. So I’m super excited to see one being made!
Here are Tara’s, tkdtara84, blocks. GORGEOUS!!
All the blocks in that group are gorgeous and I’m totally stalking them now. 😉
There’s more to show, but I’ll leave you wanting more. If you are working on any of my patterns please let me know! You can always add your pictures to my flickr group, Cut To Pieces…but don’t worry…I’m stalking you all looking for them. 😉 Until next time…
I like the envy block its pretty cool.

That is SO cool!
Wow she did an awesome job picking the colors with that It's a Stretch block!
That's my favorite one too, but you already knew that since I stole one of your samples 😉
I do love all your patterns, especially the ones in the Modern Blocks Book. And thank you for showing off the blocks I made, I had such fun making them.
How cool are these and I love the variety on your pattern!
I love your wonky 3 star one.. I already forgot the name. I've used it twice! I'll have to add my photos to your group so you can see.
How come your comment button is on top?
I can't wait until our chick makes a quilt out of It's a stretch. I wonder how she's going to place the blocks… so many possibilities.

I saw your modern bee blocks this morning and just stopped what I was doing and made one (sort of) for the block lotto. You can see my version here:

Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you so much for showcasing the work of the brilliant members of Modern Minx Beginner Bee! I'm so excited our little group got the thumbs up and it was such a fun block to make.
Thanks for putting mine up there! Mine is for a Milwaukee MQG bee so there will be an entire quilt from those very soon! : ) Here's the blog of the gal who's making it: http://piecesandcream.blogspot.com/
I was given the book for Christmas and have had so fun making stargazing blocks for a bee I'm in. There's a few pics on my blog and the flickr group is here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/1481102@N24/pool/
Thank you so much for showing the block I made for the Modern Minx Beginner Bee!!! It is a fab block and I loved making it!
Amelie
Thanks for The 99 and Minx shout outs. I get to be in both of them! I'm so thrilled you like the colors I picked for It's a Stretch. It's always a treat to be the queen, but especially this time around!
Love that stargazing pattern. And yes, the fussy cut centers are adorable!
Oh my. I am so glad you got excited about your patterns out there. Gonna have to get a copy of Modern Blocks, cause I am crazy about a couple of them. I especially like stargazing. I am a push-over for stars and this is really fun! Hugs!
wow! i love that stargazing pattern! so so beautiful!
I've seen several bees starting up around this book, so I think you may be getting to see lots more in the future too :o) I'd love to join one, but as I just had to post on a sign up blog post, if I join one more thing right now, my head might explode o.O
Aww, thanks for featuring my block, Angela. I really enjoyed making it. The directions were so simple and easy to follow. Another bee I am in (Modern 99 on flickr) is also making your Stargazing one this month as well.
I LOVE the Joel Dewberry block too. Gorgeous.
EEEEEEEEEEk, so excited about the bee shoutout "The 99". I feel like I'm in a magazine. Well, in a favorite blogger's world!
