Hey all,
You know that I’ve been interested more and more in embroidery right? Well, I’ve been making a little progress. I’ve tried to take some of your advice and then plow ahead. I found a set of quirky but hopefully not too cutesy reindeer for some kind of Christmas something and I’m working my way along…I’m on my third reindeer. I’ll admit that I’m pretty much only using a backstitch at this point because that’s all I’ve figured out. (I haven’t looked at the online tutorials yet). But I do think I pulled off a couple of french knots, and really, no one is here to tell me differently. 😉 My filling stitches need definite work, but they’re okay…until I look at a “real” embroiderer’s work. lol
ETA: A number of you seem interested in where I got the patterns. I bought this set at my local Joann’s but I don’t see it on their site. This is the package and I noticed that an Etsy shop is selling one…although I’m sure you can find them in all kinds of places. 😉 oh and I’m using a dmc perle cotton size 8 in three colors.
Check it out!
I think your reindeer would be perfect for some stockings or place mats!!
I'm still following.
A wall hanging. They are too cute and need to be somewhere that one can look at them all the time.
A wallhanging or table runner or a xmas bag.
I`m a follower.
I am a follower and I think a Christmas quilt is in order. Thanks for the chance!
I follow you…thanks for sharing your beautiful work!

i'm a follower! maybe a christmas quilt with the reindeer? i'm doing some embroidery now that i'm going to put in a christmas quilt for my son. thanks for the giveaway!
The reindeer would look cute in a band edging a bed pillowcase or sham.
I love your reindeer! I especially think your fill stitches work on the scarves because they give them a knitted look. I would make them into a wall hanging and would love to know where you found the pattern.
After thinking a bit about it, I can also see them as a banner with a funky Santa leading the way.
I follow you via Google Reader, such a handy tool. I think a tree skirt would be pefect. Thanks for the giveaway. Kathie L in Allentown
HAPPILY FOLLOWING YOU!

I think they would be cool put into a runner for the end of your bed during the holiday season.
Oooh I love your reindeer, very cute! They would look fantastic around a tree skirt!
I did my comments backwards (was too excited by the reindeer and had to comment on them first!) but I am a follower also 🙂
I follow 🙂
It would be really cute if you made a bunting of all the reindeer, one on each triangle!

I really like the idea of framing them separately to hang in various places, or even as a group of 3
I too follow your blog…it looks terrific by the way. The reindeer are really stepping out in high fashion…why not fill their egos and make a cute wall hanging out of them! After all, they need to be seen.
Hi there! I am a follower of ya!
I have seriously been bitten by the embroidery bug too. Those reindeer are super cute. I would make them into a mini quilt/wall hanging. So cute to display during the holiday season. I'm going to have to go back up and see if you referenced where you got the patterns!
I follow your blog. Your reindeer are so cute. And your stitches are so even – way to go girl. I am a born again embroiderer for about a year now & mine don't look that good. Those reindeer would look awesome gussied up with some borders & hanging as a banner on a mantle or across a doorway. Great giveaway – thanks for the chance to win it & thanks to Pink Castle Fabrics too.
I'm a follower 😀
AND… for the reindeer, I think they would be really cute for a table runner
Don't enter me, but, I just had to let you know that your reindeer are sew cute!
I'm a follower. I think your reindeer look great! I think they'd be cute made into a wall hanging with Santa in the middle.
I follow 😀
Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
I'm a follower (and think the blog looks great!)
Love your embroidery!
I think it they would make a nice table runner 😀
These reindeer are so cute – I love Donner! I think piecing them altogether would make a cute throw quilt – you could use a flannel back to make it nice and cozy and Christmas-y.
I follow.
I love them. Maybe a pillow.
I love following your blog.
I'd put them in picture frames to hang on wall then they'll never get dirty or dirty hands on them and will keep for years.

I think guest towels would be cute, these are adorable!
Hi Angela! Yes I'm still here and following. 🙂
I think a wallhanging would sure be the way to go. They are so cute. 🙂
It sounds so close when you put it in days! I think some simple frames from ikea wrapped in Christmas wraping paper would be cute. Pop these in and bada bing bada boom! There's a tutorial flowing around pinterest with a map being used instead of paper.
Oh and I follow too.
What cute reindeer! I think they'd make a great bunting, or maybe a tree skirt (if you put up a Christmas tree).
Yes, I'm a follower, too. 🙂
I'm a follower – la.di.da!
What about a Reindeer pennant banner thingie? You know, each one hanging along a strip. You could put in on the mantel (that looks wrong, but I looked it up!) or on the wall, the fridge….
I've been a subscriber to your blog for a while and just revealed myself as a follower too. I'd make a vertical wall hanging. One that would fit nicely beside the front door. Thanks for the chance to win. I became a Cosmo fan about a year ago and now use DMC only when I don't have the right Cosmo color.

I think a patchwork tree skirt would be so cute!

I would sew them together and display on a dessert buffet for christmas. Cover with a clear tablecloth first!
