Well my grand plans of getting this done by the end of August are laughably unrealistic in retrospect. But I’m happy to announce that I finally have my Down the Rabbit Hole Quilt Pattern for sale in PDF format on multiple sites!
Follow Alice down the rabbit hole and into a world of beautiful quilts!
This is a truly unique quilt that makes a perfect wedding or baby shower gift! This hexagonal quilt can be either a picnic blanket or a baby’s play mat. Easier than it looks, this quilt is quickly made in one day. Just pick your favorite fabrics and start sewing. Quilters of all skill levels will enjoy this pattern.
Plus I’ve included BONUS instructions for making a 6 colored version!
Materials:
- 1 Fat Quarter
- (3) 1 yard cuts of Fabric
- 1.5 yards backing fabric (54″ wide)
- Binding fabric
- Batting
I’ve had a lot of you request this pattern so I’m happy to finally have it available. And just in time for you to put together a Christmas gift. It really DOES come together super quickly and in no time you will have a fun quilt. I recommend using fabrics that are in fairly high contrast to one another for optimum results.
The pattern is made with one (included) template and some quick piecing. The trick is in the construction with an easy partial seam. Don’t worry if you haven’t done it before. Many of my testers had not but had NO problems following the step by step instructions.
The pattern is currently available for sale in my Etsy Shop, on Craftsy and Pattern Spot for the very reasonable price of $8.
I hope you all enjoy it! I’m nervous and excited to get this pattern out there to you all!
It looks awesome.
This is great! I can see this easily being altered into a Christmas tree skirt, which I happen to be in need of. =)
Congrats Angela!! That is so exciting!!!

Really interesting construction and design. Were you an engineer in a former life?
Woohoo!!! I'm so glad it's finally available for sale – so I can buy my "real" copy and start making them for the quilt ministry!!! (Emmy loves hers!)
