Still trying to do a little sewing even with the newborn babe. She keeps me busy but I try to take advantage of nap time. The other day I was finally able to work on the block for the Bee Modern swap for January. We had the most delicious fabrics and are all making a particular kind of star. I had a hard time deciding which of the fabulous fabrics to use, but eventually just chose my absolute favorites! It was so fun to work with them and the color scheme is so sweet. I can’t wait to see the whole quilt put together.
I was pretty meticulous with this block for some reason, so I was very happy with the results. Seams all matched up and seam allowances look like they will be perfect. It’s so hard to send away some of these blocks because I work so hard on them, but I’m grateful that something I created will become part of someone else’s treasured quilt.
Enough chatter…here’s the block. It’s too cute.
and a detail shot of the corner and seams.
I can’t wait to see what we get to do for February!
In the meantime I have some other projects in the works. A couple of baby blankets…because what baby has enough? And a major quilt in the making…more on that later.
