This was my first time making stockings! The cats

This was my first time making stockings! The cats desperately needed some and I found a miniature patchwork pattern. I over researched methods for these of course and am happy with the final method I chose. I find them a cross between making a quilt and making a bag. ❤️ The stockings are full and hung by the fireplace all ready for the cats to enjoy their special treats with the rest of us. ❤️Every year I add to the handmade items of my Xmas decor and this has definitely been on my list for some time. I finally made the super cute fabric ghosts that I’ve been thinking about since last Halloween! Or more… who really knows anymore. 🎃👻 I look how cute and not spooky they are. Plus I love being able to customize my Halloween decor colors. Life is just happy when your iron matches your fabric perfectly. Using my favorite @olisohome iron that allows me to save my wrists. 🩷I’m working a new quilt pattern and finished

🩷I’m working a new quilt pattern and finished my first version. I made myself only use fabrics I already owned which turned out to be a bit tricky due to yardage requirements. 🧡 I used several fabrics I’ve been hoarding for too long because that’s why I bought it in the first place right?💛 so of course I ended up miscutting the background fabric that can no longer be found. I ended up doing some ridiculous franken-stitching of small pieces to get larger triangles. I’ll share closeup photos of those next 💚 So now I’m making another version of the quilt because I have things I want to tweak with the pattern with fabric that is so new that it too is not available🩵 pattern design is not for the weak of heart. But I’m excited for this new twist on some classics. I think I’m naming this one #upscaledquilt 💜 follow me for more misadventures in all parts of life.
