I love making these book quilts (pattern is the #booknerdquilt ). It’s so much fun to come up with the covers and labels. A lot of these books were written fairly recently, and have pretty colorful, graphic covers, so finding fabrics for covers was a fun challenge! My favorite is The Undefeated at the bottom right corner- the cover of that book is just gorgeous and full of warm hues, so I tried to mimic the color scheme in my fabric choices.

This top will be quilted as soon as I know what fabric the recipient would like on the back! I can’t wait to add the hand stitches.

The quilt was top was made using both the sewing and embroidery functions of my Janome Skyline S9, along with their Artistic software. I love love love the versatility of that machine!! @janomeamerica
