Life is just happy when your iron matches your fabric perfectly. Using my favorite @olisohome iron that allows me to save my wrists. 🩷I’m working a new quilt pattern and finished

🩷I’m working a new quilt pattern and finished my first version. I made myself only use fabrics I already owned which turned out to be a bit tricky due to yardage requirements. 🧡 I used several fabrics I’ve been hoarding for too long because that’s why I bought it in the first place right?💛 so of course I ended up miscutting the background fabric that can no longer be found. I ended up doing some ridiculous franken-stitching of small pieces to get larger triangles. I’ll share closeup photos of those next 💚 So now I’m making another version of the quilt because I have things I want to tweak with the pattern with fabric that is so new that it too is not available🩵 pattern design is not for the weak of heart. But I’m excited for this new twist on some classics. I think I’m naming this one #upscaledquilt 💜 follow me for more misadventures in all parts of life. As soon as I saw @sharonhollanddesigns Bookish fabric I knew I had to make a book quilt with it! This quilt features mostly #agfbookish fabric with a few other favorites from Sharon Holland. 📖💗

The quilt pattern is Book Nerd by @angelapingel. I’ve dabbled in foundation paper piecing before by making a FPP block here and there, but this is my first time making a FPP quilt. It was a labor of love, that’s for sure!

I barely had time to snap this quick pic of it before dropping it off at the quilter for some longarm love today. Close-up pics to come once it’s back. The fabrics are just so good!! 😍
