Ready? It’s Luigi time!
I’m partially through my block and you can see my progress…I opted to finish up that new quilt for Caitlyn (and yes it is done! pictures soon!) so I got a little behind on my schedule. But given that Luigi and Mario are the same except for the shirt and hat color, you will all get the point. 😉 Although I need to check and see if I used the right green fabric. I think my instagramed photo might be throwing me off a bit here.
And can I just say that I love the Flickr group and all the creativity over there. I jump up and down each time I see a new block pop up! (I’m channeling my inner Luigi…I always liked Luigi better because of the green…yes, I’m totally shallow like that)
Stephanie already finished her Mario AND Luigi blocks and she rather geniusly flipped Luigi to face the opposite direction as Mario. Love that.
I know that some people are talking about making one of the fellas a jumping version of himself as well for more variety. I love that idea too!

I'll take that last option – love seeing cats on quilts, because I know no quilt is complete (at least not in my house!) until one of our kitties has napped on it. 🙂
I actually like all the options you've proposed! I love seeing the whole quilt and then to get some extra close-ups of fabrics, details, the binding.. I'm a sucker for cat pictures (can't have them near me any longer but won't give up looking at them longingly) but I like to see humans using them, too. As much as I enjoy glamour shots I love seeing things used.
Lovely idea to set up help for the internationals. I'm not actually making a Mario quilt but would like to make a Mushroom pillow cover for my fiance after I've finished a Kirby one for my sis. Using a very thin fusible web atm.
I love seeing quilts with really pretty background settings, I guess THAT is kind of shallow, because it has nothing to do with the quilt, but I'm a sucker for beautiful outdoor scenery. 😛
PS The more cats the merrier! Lol

I like to take and see pictures straight on, so on a design wall or hanging up.
For a quilt that I might want to make, the main thing I am interested in is seeing the WHOLE quilt. Pretty background or plain doesn't matter. I'm not a fan of the artsy shots where you only see a corner, or where the quilt is folded or bunched up, unless they are accompanied by a whole quilt shot.
I like to see them hung on barns!! Or draped over a chair but so you can see quite a bit of it. Or hung on a wall above the couch 🙂 GREAT giveaway – there aren't many giveaways for wadding or haberdashery or notions… THANKS 🙂
I like to see a close up shot and a full view shot. Though I do like to see all the other shots as well 🙂

I like to see a quilt draped somehow. I mean, I also want to see a flat(ish) shot so I can see the whole quilt, but quilts look best draped over a chair or bench or something.
I like to see a quilt hung or held up vertically so you can really see the whole effect. This would of course preclude the cat lying on it, but perhaps the cat could be sitting in front of it instead.
Being used by a person OR a cat . . . after all, that's really how you'll be looking at them in real life. 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!

My favorite way to see a quilt is with WAY too many pictures from every angle and zoomed in and out! I WANT IT ALL!!! ;D
I like to see the whole quilt with a close up of one of the blocks.
And usually my pictures has a cat sitting on mine since they think it needs to be held down. lol
I prefer to see the whole quilt pictured with maybe an inset of a detail of the quilting. Thanks for the giveaway.
I like seeing one straight-on picture of the whole quilt, but I like it to be accompanied with lots of pictures of quilty poses!

I like the full image of the quilt, a close up to see the quilting (often that gives the quilt the overall charm and I need to decide if I'm up to the challenge), and an image in use so I get a feel for just how big it is. I definitely like to see a full image of a quilt, but I love the drapey/pretty atmosphere shots too.

I like a whole shot … clothesline or fence is good and a few close-ups of the quilting, binding, etc. I'm a dog person so I love it when I see one in a shot. I know my dog troops all over the yard with them when I'm on a "quilt shoot" and invariably I end up with a nose or butt in a shot most of the time.

I like the whole shot, but also a 'in use' shot with a kid or various animal on it. How cute would a quilt with a hedghog walking across it be?? (or maybe I'm the only hedgehog fan? LOL)
