This year’s pencil case for my daughter (who is in 10th grade!). She selected some very sweet fabrics from my stash and I overthought a bunch before adding some more, including that daisy cork. 🌼 I always get a bit nervous when sewing in 3 dimensions because it is not as natural for me. But I gave myself time and slowly decided what each next step should be. I told myself to trust the process. #worthit #pencilcasehandmade #tildafabric #corkfabric

Happy 23rd anniversary to us! 🩵🩷 We started Day 1

Happy 23rd anniversary to us! 🩵🩷 We started Day 1 of our little vacation to Oregon today at 4 am EST and it’s just about 8 pm on the west coast now. What a day! Flew from South Bend to Chicago to Portland. Rented a car and headed south. Along the way we stopped at the most lovely quilt shop and grounds, Pioneer Quilts. We ended up a couple of hrs south of Portland at a lovely bed and breakfast where my husband surprised me with flowers and our delightful host made us a chocolate ganache cake. And then we got play with kittens in the barn and pet horses and drink cocktails. If we do nothing else, this day was worth the trip. #happyanniversarytous❤️ #longdaybutgoodday #oregontravels

Getting a little head start on Christmas sewing. I couldn’t resist making two garlands from the new @lizzyhousestudio garland panel. I’m so happy she is designing fabric again!!! I’ve been influenced! lol. Anne at @stitchsupplyco organized her cuttings from #selvedgemagic by @rubystarsociety in a plastic bead box. I found one on Amazon with 32 compartments (that’s enough for the entire alphabet and some extras for other cuts)🩵 i have a full yard of the letters cut up here plus some of the darling graphics. I’m picturing a #booknerdquilt with titles!!!! Eek.

Created a truly glorious puff quilt for my daughter. It just makes us all so happy! 🩵 Tilda fabrics I bought at @crimsontate in Indy with no plan were the base. Filled out the palette with my stash. Backed with a super soft sheet. Hand tied because I was not wrestling this thing under my machine 😅 This was my first but it won’t be my last of this quilt. Definitely making a pet bed because the cats ADORE this one. #puffquilt #tildafabric #quiltersofinstagram #sewingforfun #happyfabric
