I recently got some delicious red fabric by @tilda

I recently got some delicious red fabric by @tilda_usa (along with those fabulous blues) and immediately knew that these needed to turn into an #americandreamquilt. And sewing with friends is always more fun than sewing alone, so I’m planning a sew along. Just a little something to peak your interest. I filled out my fabric selection with other fabrics from my stash ❤️🤍💙I think this will help me process some of my complicated thoughts about the division in our country and my desire to meet people where they are and become more unified. Feeling conflicted or joyful or hopeless for this upcoming 250th anniversary? All are welcome! Let’s do this together.

#hrpalsswap2026 complete! I just got my GORGEOUS package from @wonderlustquilts and I’m tickled pink! 🩷 soooo many gorgeous details from the appliqué windows on the roof and the amazing door and of course the hidden pockets. It just makes me smile!! One of the fun things about this bag is that even though I have a rather extensive HR collection myself, she somehow managed to mainly use the fabrics I don’t own. I just had to stop myself from buying some of these the other day and now I have a beautiful bag made with them. 🩷 All the wonderful extras from the strawberry needlebook to the teacup pin cushion to the needle minder and stickers and oh so much more! I have truly been spoilt and I definitely feel all the love she put into this. Thank you thank you thank you! And thanks to @honeybee.homemaker and @sarabquilts for running this swap with @heatherrossinsta fabrics and #thecosycottagetote

H and H Americas complete! A very busy time filled

H and H Americas complete! A very busy time filled with old friends and new. Inspiration was literally around every corner in all of the colors. 🌸 I’m working hard at accepting the limits of my body and didn’t spend every second on the floor running around. I want to make meaningful connections with people and be intentional with my time but also open to conversations that could never have been planned if I had rushed. Yes that means I didn’t see everyone or everything. And there is some regret in that. But I could see great things happening all around me without me being a part of it and simply silently cheered for all who have the guts to show up. 🌸 It can be hard and it can be amazing. But it’s really just opportunities if you are open to sharing your time. And of course getting to spend some of that time with one of my dearest friends @amysinibaldi is what kept me going when rest was very much needed. #hhamericas2026 #newbookcomingsoon #quilter

We are lucky to have an exhibit of many of Tula Pi

We are lucky to have an exhibit of many of Tula Pink’s personal quilts interspersed with some garments made from her fabrics at H and H in Chicago. Each piece is a true masterpiece of piecing and a collaboration with her long arm quilters. It was so fun and nostalgic to see the Neptune Anchor quilt in person. It’s hard to pick a favorite but I’m seriously impressed with her appliqué quilt. What a work of art!!! Enjoy #hhamericas2026 #handhamericas #tulapink #quiltshow

Finished my #happylittlehousepurse by @squarestories_slowmade yesterday. It took me longer than I planned but that’s really because of the way I quilted it. And overthought it. 🫣 I always have to add time for my overthinking. But I love this dancer under the moon with a seahorse roof. It coordinates fairly well with my #thecosycottagetote and has bunches of fun tags etc to make it extra special. Enjoy partner! #hrpalsswap #heatherross

I got all my parts ready for the #happylittlehousepurse and realized I created a dancer in the moonlight. It just tickles me! Extra whimsy to an already adorable design. One of my projects I’m working on in my spare time

One of my projects I’m working on in my spare time is this bowl (actually a set of two) made from paper pieced #minimofabric deigned by one of my favorite people in the world @amysinibaldi 🩷 This is a project I found from @paperpiecesepp which is ultimately pieced on both the interior and exterior with the paper left in for support. I have the interior of the bowl complete and much of the exterior. I need to finish the exterior (it gets sewn with the opposite concavity) and nest the two together and stitch them together at the rim. This could not be any cuter except for perhaps the second one planned with the red and blue fabrics from this line. #amysinibaldi #artgalleryfabrics #englishpaperpiecing @artgalleryfabrics

My #thecosycottagetote is all finished and ready for her new owner. I hope you love her as much as I do dear partner. I didn’t stray too far from the basic pattern but I definitely made it my own. Each little moment is super special and chosen with care. New skills and decades old skills all came together for this sweetheart of a bag. I’m off to finish up some extras but for now just enjoy her magic. 🌸 Thanks to @sarabquilts and @honeybee.homemaker for hosting this swap.
